I’m Aniket Mandrekar from Thivim, Bardez. When I failed the IXth class, I was very disappointed and could not think anything about my future. My mother encouraged me to learn some job-oriented course. From the advertisement in the newspapers I came to know about Keerti Vidyalaya Technical Institute at Rai, Siolim. I approached the Principal of the Institute. He guided me about the different courses being conducted in this Institute. I finally decided to join the Automobile trade and passed the Board examination conducted by HRDF, Govt. of Goa with very good marks. Now I am working for a Company ‘Ashok Leyland’ based at Colvale, Bardez as a mechanic. I am very thankful to my parents, teachers and the Management of Keerti who encouraged me to do this course. Without it I would not be able to stand on my own two feet today.
