The ISEAF is a charitable organization registered under The Societies Registration Act 1860,133/Goa/95, and is based in Rai, Siolim, Bardez, Goa. All local donations received by it are 50% tax exempted under Sec 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961.

It has been working for the underprivileged students from 1991, when Mr. Rudolf Schwartz a German national and founder of this Organisation, visited Goa for the first time.

Thousands of students have completed their education with the financial assistance provided by this Organisation by way of sponsorship mainly from abroad. But this avenue of help will come to an end by the year 2024.

However, the real focus and importance of the ISEAF is the training of students in our 3 technical institutes which were constructed with funds from Germany, sent by him. They are:

• Bhumika Technical Institute, Palye in Pernem taluka;
• Keerti Vidyalaya Technical Institute at Rai, Siolim and
• Holy Cross Indo German Techno Centre in Marna, Siolim.

Every year around 400 students are being trained in these institutes in different job-oriented trades like Turner, Plumber, Electrician, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic, Automobile Mechanic, Computer Software, Computer Operator and Programing Assistant (COPA) Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Services (DHMCS), Beautician, Fashion Designing & Tailoring, and Home Nursing.

Examinations are conducted and certificates issued by the Human Resource Development Foundation, Govt. of Goa, the Indian Technical Education Society, Mumbai, State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT), Govt. of Goa and our very own autonomous Indo German Board of Technical Education.

Having been empowered, most of these students are working as technicians in different firms in India and some of them even work abroad. Besides, a few of our past students are having their own establishments and are self-employed. Some success stories out of the hundreds, are posted elsewhere on our site.

Since many youngsters are unable to complete their school education for some reason or the other, we are also holding classes for them to appear for the Secondary as well as Sr. Secondary examinations conducted by the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). This is done at our Institute in Marna.
